                <text> EN- The Waco Aircraft Company of Troy, Ohio was a major manufacturer of aircraft in the U. S. from 1928 - 1935. Beginning in 1921 as the Weaver Aircraft Company they moved to Troy in 1924 and became the Advance Aircraft Company keeping the Waco logo.  Built in 1930, this airplane is the oldest flying in Western Canada, and one of a few Waco INF's in the world. It was originally used for "corporate flying" by a Seattle based washing machine salesman, and visited B.C. air shows in the 1930's. It then passed through 16 owners in 20 years, arriving in B.C. in 1972.FR-La Waco Aircraft Company de Troy, dans l'Ohio, a été l'un des principaux constructeurs d'avions aux États-Unis entre 1928 et 1935. Créée en 1921 sous le nom de Weaver Aircraft Company, elle s'installe à Troy en 1924 et devient Advance Aircraft Company, tout en conservant le logo Waco.                 <text>EN-The Fairchild 71, like its similarly shaped competitor, the Fokker Super Universal, and its bigger brother the Fairchild 82, was a Northern workhorse. The Fairchild 71 was originally built in the United States from 1928-1930. A second Canadian factory was built in Montreal Quebec in 1929, to supply the Canadian bush flying industry. The 71s would serve the early years of Canadian bush flying, and five of them would serve in the Yukon Territory. This Company was formed in 1920 by mechanics Clayton Brukner and Elwood Junkin, who teamed up with barnstorming pilots Buck Weaver and Charles Weaver. Ottawa Flying Club The first powered flight over Ottawa occurred in 1911, but a landing field wasn't established at what is now the Ottawa International Airport until the 1920s.Initially known as Hunt Club Field, the site quickly gained significance in aviation history.In July 1927, as Canada celebrated its Diamond Jubilee of Confederation, Charles Lindbergh arrived in Ottawa in the Spirit of St. Louis (Ryan N-X-211) at the invitation of Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. Lindbergh, accompanied by a 12-aircraft escort, landed at the Hunt Club Field, which was subsequently renamed Lindbergh Field to honour this landmark visit. Ottawa Flying Club The first powered flight over Ottawa occurred in 1911, but a landing field wasn't established at what is now the Ottawa International Airport until the 1920s.Initially known as Hunt Club Field, the site quickly gained significance in aviation history.In July 1927, as Canada celebrated its Diamond Jubilee of Confederation, Charles Lindbergh arrived in Ottawa in the Spirit of St. Louis (Ryan N-X-211) at the invitation of Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. Lindbergh, accompanied by a 12-aircraft escort, landed at the Hunt Club Field, which was subsequently renamed Lindbergh Field to honour this landmark visit. The Ottawa Flying Club was incorporated on January 14, 1928, and by July 26, 1928, it had been granted the first airport license, prompting another renaming of the airfield to Uplands Aerodrome.FR-Initialement connu sous le nom de Hunt Club Field, le site a rapidement pris de l'importance dans l'histoire de l'aviation.
