EN- The Avro Avian is a series of British light aircraft designed and built by Avro in the 1920s and 1930s. While the various versions of the Avian were sound aircraft, they were comprehensively outsold by the de Havilland Moth and its descendants. It is a British two-seater sports and touring aircraft of the interwar period. Designed to replace the Avro 504, this sound, robust aircraft was largely overshadowed by the de Havilland DH.60 Moth and its derivatives. Nevertheless, it was built in the USA and Canada, used on every continent, and was responsible for some spectacular raids. FR- L'Avro Avian est une série d'avions légers britanniques conçus et construits par Avro dans les années 1920 et 1930. Bien que les différentes versions de l'Avian aient été de bons appareils, ils ont été largement dépassés par le de Havilland Moth et ses descendants. Il est un avion biplace de sport et de tourisme britannique de l'entre-deux-guerres. Conçu pour remplacer l’Avro 504, cet appareil sain et robuste fut largement éclipsé par le de Havilland DH.60 Moth et ses dérivés. Il fut pourtant construit aux États-Unis et au Canada, utilisé sur tous les continents et on lui doit quelques raids spectaculaires.
